We specialize in the non-surgical treatment of spine & sports injuries as well as neurological conditions.
Since 1995, Emas Spine & Brain Specialists has earned an outstanding reputation for personalized and attentive adult neurological care. Led by Mark K. Emas, M.D., we are widely regarded as the premier multi-disciplinary spinal care practice in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. Dr. Emas and his colleagues specialize in treating conditions of the spine and other neurological conditions, including acquired medical spinal abnormalities, such as osteoarthritis, or trauma such as a motor vehicle or sports injury. His training as a Board Certified Neurologist, with specialty training in neuromuscular disease, allows him to accurately diagnose and treat patients with neck or back pain; spinal column injuries or abnormalities; and brain and nervous system problems.
We believe in a team approach in which multiple physicians across different specialties consult about your condition. This multi-disciplinary approach has become the standard of care in managing most chronic pain patients. A member of our team, Anika Goel, M.D., specializes in adult neurology with interests in migraine headaches, multiple sclerosis and epilepsy.
Back pain is a common complaint and a leading reason patients seek care with our clinic. Our primary goal is to cure your injury or pain medically without the use of highly invasive procedures or the need for surgery. No symptom is too major or minor for our clinic to handle. Our caring staff clearly understands your individual medical needs, and we are here to help you.

Part of our effective treatment plan for every patient involves properly diagnosing each condition with specific neuromuscular tests. Neuro-diagnostic testing is conducted by our qualified and certified staff of nurses and physician assistants. Our on-site testing center is open for your convenience several days a week.
